The SlowjamaDans are back, this time with a tribute to Slowjamastan’s (dry but mighty) Lazy River, a slow jam. Slowjamastan is a micro-nation in the California desert. It’s national animal is the ring tailed raccoon. It boasts the Lazy River that is so very lazy that it rarely bothers to have any water. Hoagy Carmichael and Sidney Arodin wrote “Lazy River”in 1930, almost a century before the Lazy River was a twinkle in the exalted Sultan of Slowjamastan’s eye. The song was way ahead of its time! So here’s a little desert harp rendition.
